The Psychologist, a secondary character in the Five Nights at Candy’s franchise, first appears in Five Nights at Candy’s 3 as the game’s tritagonist. He doesn’t physically appear in the game but plays an important role. One day, Mary Schmidt will visit this psychologist because she suffered trauma in an animatronic theater. Therefore, the Psychologist must help her (along with the Origami Cat) to overcome her fears so that she can get better.
Biography[]
In 1962, Mary Schmidt, her brother, and her father will go to the Rat & Cat Theater, and Mary’s little brother will approach the stage and head towards the Rat, but the rat will hit him on the head, which will traumatize Mary. So, in the same year, Mary will see a Psychologist because she is terrified of the animatronics of the Rat and the Cat, and also because of another event that occurred the previous year in 1961. Mary will also have nightmares of the animatronics of the Rat and the Cat, and she will often see the Psychologist to understand why she is traumatized by the animatronics and what happened last year in 1961. Mary will tell him everything, and the Psychologist will thus be informed of last year’s events and will file a complaint against the Puppeteer according to Mary. At the end of a week, the Psychologist will write a letter to Mary’s father, stating that she is much better and that she can once again draw the animatronics of the Rat and the Cat without fear.
