Five Nights at Candy's Wiki

Five Nights at Candy's 4, also known as FNaC 4 is a free roaming survival horror video game made by Emil "Ace" Macko. The game is currently still in development and is the first game which features free roaming in the Five Nights at Candy's series.

Due to the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, Five Nights at Candy's 4, along with the previously already-released games in the series will be officially be released as paid ports for consoles and mobiles sometime in the future, with the only exception being the original Five Nights at Candy's, which will be replaced by Five Nights at Candy's Remastered. The game will still be released on Game Jolt to download and play for free on PC.

Development

Emil Macko first had the idea, and started to make another entry to Five Nights at Candy's series since around December 2017 to January 2018, as he had some more ideas for new mechanics. It was originally going to be a very small and short game which featured the FNaF characters instead. But the game later grew in size and Emil decided to make it another Five Nights at Candy's game. However, he never announced the game until later on so that he won't let anyone down by canceling it. On June 2018, he posted a picture of a puzzle, solving it will lead them to a video on his channel, teasing another Five Nights at Candy's game. He never actually confirmed it until the end of August, he revealed that the game will be very different compared to previous games, and will, for the first time, feature free roaming.

Core details

  • The game will be a point-and-click free-roam game inspired by Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location.
  • The game will mostly be non-linear in structure, and will include some replay value. So dedicated players may want to play the game more than once.
  • The game's graphics will be completely rendered with the Blender Cycles engine, which will make it the graphics look much better and much more realistic than any previous FNaC games.
  • Candy will be the main antagonist this time.
  • There will be minigames to play.
  • This game has nothing to do with Mary Schmidt from the earlier FNaC games (nor anyone related to her). Mary's story is done, and instead, this time the focus falls on something important that's been relatively hidden in the background of the FNaC storyline; Rowboatics Corp.
  • FNaC 4 will have the largest cast of characters out of all previous games, both people and animatronics. There will be not only new counterparts of the pre-existing robots but also brand-new animatronics. And of course, since the first three games are considered as "the Mary Schmidt saga", there's an entirely new protagonist that you will play as in FNAC 4.
  • On August 2020, with the following announcement of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, Emil uploaded a new teaser of Forgotten Candy with the Mini Candies.
  • On February 2022, Emil posted his mini update status about the game. His announcement has a small hidden message in it, and combining all the bold-texted letters will have a message that says "Dont Forget".
  • On April 1st 2022, Emil Macko premiered a fake Five Night's at Candy's 4 trailer for April Fool’s Day. There is a short snippet of new music that will most likely be used in FNaC 4, although then it transitions to Emil telling a silly story about Candy losing his fur, and having to clean it all up before the BOSS DOG takes his friends. This trailer later was revealed to be for FNAC:FUR. The thumbnail of the "trailer" also reveals the endoskeleton of Forgotten Candy. At the end of the "trailer" a letter from the "Self Insert" of Emil "Ace" Macko, Lollipop, who appears for a split second before the end of the video, with the writing "see you soon!" Along with a drawing of the toy. Judging from the teaser, and the drawing, it is possible that Lollipop could be returning and if he does, he will most likely play a pretty big role in the story of Five Nights at Candy's 4.

Trivia

  • All 3D Renders in the game are rendered with Cycles, so everything will look more realistic than any of the previous FNaC games.
  • Emil is trying to make replay-ability a key part of the game's base according to his post.
  • The game will continue the series' tradition which is no demo release before the full game (except FNaC 3)
  • Emil considers this game a fan-game of Sister Location, just like any other previous games (FNaC 1 is a fan-game of FNaF 1 and 2, FNaC 2 is a fan-game of FNaF 2-3, and FNaC 3 is a fan-game of FNaF 3-4), since it borrows elements from Sister Location, and are aligned with them in a sort of parallel way.
  • In one of Emil's live-stream that was hosted on YouTube, there was a "virus", that "accidentally" opened the game for a few seconds, then closed it. There was brief gameplay of what looks to be the main "office" or Control Room in the game. There is also a briefcase visible on the floor, which seems will play an important role in the game.
  • In the live-stream, while Emil is not talking, you can hear some voices coming from the game, however, they are pretty low to hear anything.
  • On Reddit, Emil revealed that this game has nothing to do with Mary Schmidt from the earlier FNaC's games (nor anyone related to her). As Mary's story is done, and instead it’s focus on the Rowboatics Corp.
  • Candy is the main antagonist for this game again, instead of The Rat, which was the main antagonist of the previous game, Five Nights at Candy's 3.
