The deepscape is a place inside Mary's mind, her deepest memories reside here, as do Shadow Rat. The place is in darkness, only illuminated by a path of luminous particles; the ground appears to be made of water or be flooded.
From the 3rd Night and onward, Shadow Cat will attack you if you stay out of the path for too long, which is indicated by the timer at the top.
Inside
Although the deepscape since the 2nd Night is totally optional, there are many interesting things inside.
Tape-player
It's the only mandatory item required for game progression, is the same as the one during the Nights.
Rocks
They're connected to the path and have engraved text advising the player, some of them have hidden messages on the back.
Newspaper articles
They're old newspaper clippings, most of them talk about or advertise the theater.
Transcriptions
- After closing so soon, the brand new wire-animatronics were sent back to ********. Rumors are circulating that the animatronics will be used as a base for newer designs of advanced, fully mobile animatronics which are speculated to be used for a future project.
- On the re-opening day of The Rat & Cat Theater, one of the mechanical puppets were reported to have "behaved strangely". The puppet supposedly malfunctioned and attacked a child on its own. Technicians at the crime scene could not see any for the puppet to have acted without input from its control panel. The employee who was controlling the puppet claims that the puppet moved on its own, and that he was only trying to stop it. The employee was arrested at the scene and its currently awaiting trial.

It is presumed that he was passing out from the adrenaline-rush after the fight with his colleague. One expert says he could very well have been able to see and hear while paralyzed. What a scary thing to experience.
- The actors playing the Rat and the Cat in the theater's show were found dead in the staff room by the actor playing the puppeteer. One actor was under the influence, and died after strangling his opponent with the rim on the underside of the head of the costume. The costume heads were airtight, and the actors had to get air through the gap around the costumes' necks.
- A brutal ending to an otherwise joyful theater occurred here yesterday, when two of the actors had fought each other right before the show of the day was supposed to start.

There are five hidden for each Night, they unlock the extra mini games: Fishing with Candy, Cindy's Garden and Candy's Adventure (requires three). Are needed to get the Lollipop Ending.
Toys (NPCs)
They're five: a race car, a unicorn, a teapot, a robot and a duck. talking to them is necessary to get the Lollipop Ending.
